"The urge to constantly discover new things pulsates through his veins" 1024 768 Thomas Schouenborg

When Adrian looks up into the sky and sees a helicopter hovering majestically, he is filled with a mixture of admiration and curiosity. The invention of this technical aircraft, which is able to hover, ascend vertically and fly forwards, took centuries and presented its developers with almost insurmountable challenges. Adrian Stadelmann is a man who is virtually drawn to such complex challenges. The more difficult the task, the more intense his interest.

Adrian has been part of our community since zentroom was founded - he is simply part of it. During this time, he has never been at a loss for an answer to a technical question. This is not surprising, because as a Customer Engineer at Microsoft, he deals with extensive technical issues on a daily basis.

"What I like most is being confronted with customers' problems or wishes, finding out the technical possibilities and working with them to find a solution."

Solving a puzzle, stretching the boundaries of what is possible and discovering or creating something new in the process - the trained, reserved computer scientist doesn't just enjoy this; it's what drives him when he gets up in the morning, to have learned or discovered something new at the end of the day.

With his own helicopter

So what does all this have to do with helicopters? A helicopter not only means technical enthusiasm, but also opens the door to a new perspective, provides a comprehensive overview, opens up access to unreachable places and allows you to roam the wonders of nature and discover new treasures - all of which also describes Adrian's area of interest. No wonder, then, that his heart yearned for the skills of a helicopter pilot. But fate had other plans for him. But Adrian doesn't regret this, because there are so many other things to discover.

In a way, he has created an abstract helicopter: The technical component finds its place in his professional work, where he channels his passion into complex issues. In his free time, however, he longs for a contrast to his electronic everyday life and finds himself in nature. He swaps screens for trees and electronic signals for the sound of a torrent. Hiking and climbing have a special appeal for him, despite his initial fear of heights. These activities take him to places that are otherwise almost inaccessible and change his perspective.

Nature is the contrast to his everyday working life

Not only that, but Adrian also regularly goes on trips to faraway countries. These excursions not only serve his spirit of discovery, but also offer him the opportunity to put himself in unfamiliar situations and learn from them. Recently, his urge for new experiences has become ever greater and now he is about to set off on a trip around the world lasting several months. Although the key points are known, the majority of the trip remains deliberately unplanned. After all, what would a real adventure be without the excitement of the unexpected?

Always with focus

Not becoming a helicopter pilot despite great effort carries a certain symbolism. He is someone who takes on big challenges, and once he has set his mind to something, there is no turning back. Come what may, Adrian does everything he can to achieve his goal. But despite his unshakeable will, he is by no means stubborn. He is prepared to deviate from his plan if he realizes that something is impossible, pointless or that another path is better. Some time ago, for example, he decided to give up his Bitcoin mine and not necessarily stick to it.

However, Adrian is not a working machine that can't be distracted by anything. Pictures and photographs are a particularly good way of attracting his attention and convincing him of something. After all, there is not only a lot to discover in pictures, they can also convey an impression and visualize ideas.

You can distract Adrian, but you can hardly upset him. He is thoughtful by nature and only lets a few things worry him. Buzzwords such as artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies and the metaverse don't cause him any great excitement. He sees cyber security as a much bigger challenge. He is not the one who hacks a system, but the one who wants to create it. So it's no wonder that he is drawn in this direction professionally; so many problems to solve, so many new things to learn, so many unknowns, so many technical challenges just waiting for him...
